ATAS Suite
One DLL, one authorization — Hermes GEX levels and distribution, standalone distribution panels, the Gamma Γ heatmap pane, options order flow, futures toxicity, delta / volume heatmaps and Market Stats projection inside ATAS. Covers version choice, installation, authorization, per-indicator usage and settings, troubleshooting, and a feature comparison with the NinjaTrader suite.
Options levels and options flow, directly inside ATAS. The Hermes ATAS plugin draws the web terminal's GEX levels, per-strike distribution, gamma heat, options order flow and statistical projection onto ATAS charts. Combined with ATAS's own footprint and cluster charts, one chart shows both where options are defended and how futures trade at those levels.
One DLL, one authorization. Every indicator is compiled into a single Hermes.Atas.dll; authorize once in the browser when you add the first one and all indicators share it.
Indicator overview
Right-click a chart → Add Indicator → search Hermes. The indicators sit under the Hermes and HermesGEX categories.
| Category | Indicator | Where | In one line |
|---|---|---|---|
| Options levels | Hermes GEX Levels & Distribution | Price chart | Zero / Long / Short Gamma, Call · Put Wall, absolute gamma, D+ / D− net-delta extremes, right-side distribution, HUD |
| Distribution panels | Hermes OI Level & Volume Level | Vertical panel, far right | Open-interest or volume distribution + Major Call / Put lines |
| Hermes GEX Level | Vertical panel, far right | Volume-GEX distribution + Major ±GEX lines | |
| Hermes Greek Level | Vertical panel, far right | Gamma distribution + Major ±Γ lines | |
| Gamma heat | Hermes Gamma Γ Heatmap | Bottom pane | Price + 0Γ / ±Γ / wall trails + per-strike GEX heat cells |
| Options order flow | Hermes DEX / GEX / CVR Order Flow | One pane each | Two-color net inflow / outflow histogram |
| Hermes Extreme Order Flow | Price chart | Side-by-side triangles only at statistical extremes | |
| Futures order flow | Hermes Toxicity | Pane | Aggressor imbalance + VPIN + wall-break warning |
| Hermes Delta Heatmap | Price chart | Per-bar delta heat + extreme / flip / exhaustion / auction detectors | |
| Hermes Volume Heatmap | Chart background | Price × time volume heat; the POC forms a bright band | |
| Hermes Quant4 | Pane | Microprice / OBI / VPIN / OFI microstructure series | |
| Statistics | Hermes Market Stats Projection | Price chart | Historical probability baselines projected onto today: high-hit levels, range / IB extensions, extremes; daily structure synced to the trading calendar |
| Accounts | Hermes Prop Sync | Chart badge | Fills, balance and daily P&L synced automatically to the web prop journal |
The three distribution panels and the Gamma Γ Heatmap were built from live-trader feedback: keep the price chart to bare candles and volume, and move the distribution and gamma trails beside and below it so nothing overlaps.
Pick the right version
Each ATAS major version runs a different .NET runtime, and the plugin must match it. The version is in the bottom-right corner of the ATAS main window.
| ATAS version | Package | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| 8.0.13+ / ATAS X | v1.8 (atas8) | Every indicator on this page |
| 7.0.x – 8.0.12 | ATAS 7 compatible (v1.5) | GEX Levels & Distribution and other early indicators; upgrade ATAS and use v1.8 for the new ones |
ATAS does not show an error for the wrong build — it skips it silently, so Hermes never appears in the indicator list. Check the version first.
Installation
Download the package
Get the package that matches your ATAS version from the plugin download page and unzip it.
Fully exit ATAS
Including the tray icon — a running ATAS locks the DLL.
Double-click install.bat
It removes old Hermes.Atas*.dll files (so old and new builds don't load together) and copies the new DLL into the ATAS indicators folder %APPDATA%\ATAS\Indicators\.
If it fails: right-click install.bat → Run as administrator.
Start ATAS and add an indicator
Right-click the chart → Add Indicator → search Hermes.
Manual install (if install.bat can't run): press Win + R, enter %APPDATA%\ATAS\Indicators (if it doesn't exist, start and close ATAS once) → delete old Hermes.Atas*.dll files → copy the new DLL in → right-click the DLL → Properties → if there's an Unblock checkbox at the bottom, tick it and click OK (Windows blocks downloaded DLLs and ATAS skips them silently).
Indicator still missing: double-click check.bat in the package. It checks the file location, Windows blocking and the ATAS log, and unblocks the DLL automatically; send a screenshot of the result to support@hermesgex.com.
Updating: download the new package, exit ATAS and run install.bat again.
Authorization and plans
- The first time you add any Hermes indicator, the browser opens the authorization page with the code pre-filled.
- Sign in to HermesGEX → click Authorize → the chart's top-left corner shows "Hermēs · Connected".
- Every Hermes indicator shares this one authorization.
- The token lives in memory only, never on disk — confirm once again after restarting ATAS.
- One subscription, one trading machine: authorizing on another computer signs the previous one out.
- Plans: options-data indicators and Delta Heatmap need a paid plan — see pricing. Volume Heatmap, Quant4 and Toxicity with the wall-break warning turned off use local footprint data only and need no authorization.
Suggested setups
Options-level chart: a candle chart with Hermes GEX Levels & Distribution — or keep bare candles and add OI Level & Volume Level (90DTE for open-interest support / resistance), GEX Level and Greek Level on the right, plus Gamma Γ Heatmap at the bottom to watch the gamma levels move over time.
Order-flow confirmation: add the Toxicity pane and Extreme Order Flow to the same chart. As price nears a Call / Put Wall, extreme toxicity plus extreme triangles in the same direction lean toward a break; fading toxicity leans toward a rejection.
Structural context: add Market Stats Projection for today's range, IB extensions and historical hit rates as targets and stop references.
Hermes GEX Levels & Distribution
The main indicator: live GEX levels and per-strike distribution on the price chart, with futures automatically converted to the current contract's price scale.
- Levels: Zero Gamma, Long / Short Gamma (including 0DTE), Call / Put Wall and open-interest walls, HVL, Call / Put Transition, secondary walls C2–6 / P2–6, absolute gamma Ab1–3 (purple magnet levels).
- D+ / D−: net-delta extremes (thin cyan dashed lines) marking where hedging flow may reverse; hidden when they coincide with a wall so labels don't overlap.
- Right-side distribution: Gamma Profile / volume GEX / open-interest GEX columns, each switchable, adjustable panel width.
- Expiry switch:
2 · Display→ distribution / wall expiry: 0DTE / 1DTE / 90DTE. The distribution, Call / Put walls, OI walls, 0Γ and ±Γ switch together, and the status line shows the expiry. Outside 0DTE the derived levels (HVL, Transition, secondary walls, Ab1–3, D±) are hidden so methodologies don't mix. - HUD: the futures cockpit shows net GEX (positive = long-gamma regime, negative = short-gamma regime, magnitude = strength).
Common settings: leave 1 · Connection → Ticker override empty to map from the contract automatically; poll interval; automatic price conversion and the manual conversion factor.
Gold / crude / Dow borrow options data from their ETFs and convert dynamically from the current price. The Dow tracks best, gold is good with slow drift, crude has large tracking error — use it for direction only. A status-line tag like "· ×10.8" means conversion is active.
The three distribution panels (OI & Volume / GEX / Greek Level)
Vertical panels docked at the far right of the chart, sharing the price axis: each bar sits at its strike and follows the chart as it scrolls and zooms. The price chart can stay bare candles and volume.
| Panel | What it draws |
|---|---|
| OI Level & Volume Level | Open-interest or volume distribution (Show Volume / OI drop-down, one at a time) + Major Call / Put lines |
| GEX Level | Volume-GEX distribution + Major ±GEX lines |
| Greek Level | Gamma distribution + Major ±Γ lines |
Shared settings
- Expiry: 0DTE / 1DTE / 90DTE. If the selected expiry has no data, 0DTE is shown and the panel header says so.
- Profile Plot Style: One Sided Left Aligned / One Sided Right Aligned / Two Sided Mirrored (puts and negatives left, calls and positives right).
- Major lines: lines and labels toggle separately. Lines run from the last bar to the left edge of the chart; labels are drawn on the price chart (left side or next to the latest bar, nudged apart when too close).
- Colors and style: positive / negative bars, lines and labels, and label backgrounds are all configurable, as are line width, dashes and label font size.
- Hover tooltip: hover a bar to see that strike's value and distance from price.
- Price line / mouse line: the panel draws its own dashed price and mouse lines (the mouse line only within the price area), with configurable color and thickness.
- HermesGEX brand box: top or bottom of the panel, with adjustable height, font size and background.
Hermes Gamma Γ Heatmap
A bottom pane with its own price axis, three layers from bottom to top:
- Price: Candlestick / Line / Heikin-Ashi / High-Low styles, with a dashed price line.
- Gamma trails: 0Γ, +Γ, −Γ and Call / Put Wall each toggle separately, drawn as separate glowing dots (oval or round) with adjustable width, height, spacing and glow, price-labelled at the end. When a level jumps to a new strike the dots simply continue at the new price — no vertical connectors.
- Per-strike heat cells: one column per bar, one cell per strike, positive / negative GEX in separate colors, normalized to each column's maximum.
- Expiry: 0DTE backfills today's history on load; 1DTE / 90DTE accumulate live from the moment the indicator loads.
- "Include Γ levels in axis" is on by default; turn it off to scale to visible candles only.
Options order flow
| Indicator | What to read |
|---|---|
| DEX / GEX / CVR Order Flow | Per-bar net options inflow / outflow as a two-color histogram, one pane per measure |
| Extreme Order Flow | Price-chart overlay that only draws at statistical extremes: fixed slots left to right for GEX · DEX · CVR, ▲ net positive above the price, ▼ net negative below, sized by how extreme the reading is, with the value shown on the largest |
Both share one cache, so loading them together adds no extra requests.
Futures order flow and statistics
| Indicator | Purpose and key points |
|---|---|
| Toxicity | Per-bar imbalance % = delta ÷ volume, green buy / red sell, extremes fully lit; top-left HUD shows rolling toxicity and buy / sell volume; VPIN volume buckets output CLEAN / NEUTRAL / TOXIC; when price hugs a Call / Put Wall and toxicity is extreme in the break direction, a "break risk ↑ / ↓" badge appears. Uses ATAS's native footprint, so historical bars work too |
| Delta Heatmap | Colors candles by per-bar delta, with extreme-delta, delta-flip, exhaustion-divergence and auction-completion detectors |
| Volume Heatmap | Draws each bar's volume at price as color cells (normalized to that column's maximum) beneath the candles; the POC is the brightest cell and forms a bright band when price is stable |
| Quant4 | Microprice, OBI, VPIN and OFI series (raw or z-score), with the VPIN regime in the HUD; same definitions as Quant4 on other platforms |
| Market Stats Projection | Combines historical probability baselines (range, IB, overnight high / low hit rates, gaps, rotations) with today's open, IB, overnight high / low and the prior day's OHLC to project where price may reach today: tier 1 high-hit levels, tier 2 range / IB extensions, tier 3 extreme pulses. Historical statistics, not trading signals; event days run wider |
Hermes Prop Sync: trades straight into the journal
Load Hermes Prop Sync on a chart for the account and contract you want synced (it reuses the authorization of any Hermes indicator already loaded). Each chart syncs only the account currently selected on that chart; for several accounts, load it once per account chart.
- Create an account in the web prop journal with the account number set to the ATAS account name — or wait for the platform accounts to report in and link / create directly from "Platform accounts".
- Trade normally: every time a contract returns flat, one trade is recorded (side, size, average entry / exit, P&L, commission) and uploaded within 15 s. Fills that existed before the indicator loaded are not re-sent.
- Every 5 minutes the account balance and daily P&L are attached, so the web shows platform balance and the difference for reconciliation.
- Status badge: shows whether it is waiting for fills, the time of the last successful sync, or that the account is not linked yet (fill in the account name on the web as prompted); corner or visibility is configurable.
- Offline-safe: trades are queued locally before upload and kept for 7 days; the server de-duplicates, so re-uploads are harmless.
- Trading-calendar market context: with
Market Stats Projectionalso loaded ("Sync daily structure to the trading calendar" is on by default), each session's structure appears on the calendar.

FAQ and troubleshooting
Hermes doesn't appear in the indicator list
Usually the wrong build (runtime mismatch) or a DLL blocked by Windows. Check your ATAS version and run check.bat to diagnose and unblock.
Two sets of Hermes indicators, or a load error
Old and new DLLs are both present. Exit ATAS and run install.bat again — it removes old Hermes.Atas*.dll files first.
Status says signed in on another device The same subscription was authorized on another computer. Re-add the indicator on this machine to authorize again.
Status line shows "· DTE?" The selected expiry has no data; it has fallen back to 0DTE.
Walls differ from the web by a constant amount Usually a change in the futures–index basis. Check the contract month and set a manual conversion factor if needed.
Distribution-panel bars don't line up with chart prices Make sure the panel and chart are the same instrument and contract month; the panel follows the chart's price axis, so it re-aligns when you stretch the chart.
Anything else: email support@hermesgex.com with your ATAS version and a check.bat screenshot.

Frequently asked questions
What indicators does the ATAS plugin include?
One DLL ships 15 indicators — GEX Levels & Distribution, three standalone distribution panels (OI & Volume Level, GEX Level, Greek Level), the Gamma Γ Heatmap pane, DEX / GEX / CVR options order-flow panes, Extreme Order Flow triangles, futures Toxicity, Delta Heatmap, Volume Heatmap, Market Stats Projection, the Quant4 microstructure indicator and Prop Sync for the web prop journal.
Which version should I download?
Check the version number in the bottom-right corner of the ATAS main window. ATAS 8.0.13+ or ATAS X takes the v1.8 (atas8) package; 7.0.x to 8.0.12 takes the ATAS 7 compatible package (v1.5, fewer indicators). A build for the wrong runtime is skipped silently and never appears in the indicator list.
How do I install it?
Fully exit ATAS, unzip and double-click install.bat — it removes old Hermes.Atas*.dll files and copies the new DLL into the ATAS indicators folder. Start ATAS, right-click the chart, Add Indicator and search for Hermes.
Can I switch the expiry of the distribution?
Yes. The main GEX indicator, the three distribution panels and the Gamma Γ Heatmap all switch between 0DTE / 1DTE / 90DTE; 90DTE is the usual choice when reading NDX support and resistance from open interest. If the selected expiry has no data it falls back to 0DTE and says so in the status line.
Does futures Toxicity need Tick Replay?
No. ATAS carries per-bar aggressive buy / sell footprint data natively, including on historical bars, so it works as soon as it loads.
