Session Status & Crypto Panel
The session-status chip tells you whether the current ticker is in pre-market, open, after-hours or closed (crypto is 24/7), explaining why data pauses outside trading hours; the crypto dealer panel gives BTC/ETH dealer gamma regime and funding.
The session status & crypto panel solve two things: "can I count on data being real-time right now" and "what does the dealer structure of a crypto ticker look like". The former is answered by the session-status chip, the latter by the crypto dealer panel.
Session-status chip
Equity sessions
For equity tickers like ES/NQ, the chip shows the current RTH phase: pre-market / open / after-hours / closed. It explains why data pauses outside trading hours — not a fault, the market simply isn't trading.
Crypto 24/7
For BTC / ETH, the chip shows 24/7, meaning continuous round-the-clock updates.
Hidden during replay
In replay mode the chip is hidden (replay replays a historical session, so live session status is meaningless).
Seeing "closed / after-hours" with paused data → normal; it resumes automatically at the next trading session, so don't mistake it for a disconnect.

Badge glance
The BTC / ETH-only badge gives the dealer gamma-regime title and funding (8-hour / annualized), for a glance at crypto's hedging bias and long/short cost.

Click the badge to expand the full crypto dealer panel for finer crypto GEX structure and funding context.
Positive funding: longs pay shorts, market leans long, holding longs has a cost; negative: shorts pay longs, market leans short. Read it together with the dealer gamma regime to judge intraday crypto hedging amplification/suppression.

Frequently asked questions
Why does data stop moving after hours or on weekends?
Equity tickers (ES/NQ etc.) only update during trading hours; the session-status chip shows pre-market/open/after-hours/closed, and paused data while closed is normal. Crypto updates 24/7.
What does the crypto dealer panel show?
A BTC/ETH-only badge giving the dealer gamma-regime title and funding (8-hour / annualized); click to expand the full crypto dealer panel.
Does the session status show during replay?
No. The session-status chip is hidden in replay mode, because replay replays a historical session.
